Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we look after it.
Who we are
UKASA LTD (company number 15093898) is the controller of your personal information. Our address is UKASA LTD, Universal Square, Devonshire Street North, Ardwick, Manchester, M12 6JH, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@shopukasa.co.uk.
What information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the store:
- Order information: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and the items you order.
- Account information: your email address and password, if you create an account.
- Messages: what you tell us when you email or contact us.
- Website information: technical data such as your device, browser and how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar tools.
Payment details
We do not store your full card details. Payments are handled by PayPal, which also lets you pay by debit or credit card without a PayPal account. PayPal processes your payment details securely under its own privacy policy, and we only receive confirmation that your payment was made.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- process and deliver your orders, and take payment;
- let you know about your order, delivery or any problem;
- handle returns, refunds and customer service;
- keep our website secure and working well;
- meet our legal and tax obligations;
- send you news and offers, but only if you have agreed to this. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Our legal reasons
Under UK data protection law, we rely on: contract (to deliver the order you made), legal obligation (for tax and accounting records), legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and keep the site secure) and consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies).
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with people who help us run the store, and only what they need: delivery and fulfilment partners, our payment provider, our website and email service providers, and professional advisers such as accountants. We may also share it where the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for as long as the law requires, which is usually six years. Other information is kept only for as long as we need it for the reasons above.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. We use them in two ways:
- Essential cookies keep the store working: they remember the items in your basket, keep you logged in to your account and carry you through checkout. These are set by our online shop software (WooCommerce and WordPress) and do not need your consent.
- Optional cookies, such as analytics that show us which pages are popular, are used only if you agree. If we use any, we will ask first and you can change your mind at any time.
When you pay, PayPal may also set its own cookies on its pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the basket and checkout may stop working if you block essential ones.
Sending your information abroad
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure it is protected by safeguards that UK law accepts, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contract terms.
Children
Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at info@shopukasa.co.uk.
Keeping your information safe
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No website can be completely secure, so please keep your password private.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
